WCM and Compliance

For Government agencies in particular, a major consideration in selecting a content management system is that it meets the organisations compliance obligations.

To quote from the Office of eGovernment Website:

“Government records, including web based records, must be captured into the agency’s record keeping system. Website records, and records of changes to the website, must be included in the Retention and Disposal Schedule component of the agency’s Record Keeping Plan.”

(see p.58 http://www.egov.dpc.wa.gov.au/documents/WebGuidelinesVersion2.2_final.pdf)

TRIM WCM is a fully compliant content management system that integrates tightly to the TRIM EDRMS. As TRIM is widely used through State and Local Government, WCM provides a high end solution that meets SRO compliance obligations out of the box. Specifically, WCM can:

  • Automatically archive the entire website into on a fully flexible schedule
  • Automatically archive individual pages to trim on a schedule
  • View a page at any time in the past or the future

It’s worth remembering that while WCM meets the compliance requirement, WCM will tick a lot of the boxes on any Tender or RFQ. It is easy to use, has stage approval, multiple levels of permissions, extranet capability and more. Have a look at our WCM page for more specific information.
